Big news. Our very own line of fifteen52 performance products is almost ready for launch.
As mentioned in the Waterfest update, we brought prototypes of our upcoming Mk5 Alcon front big brake kit (also installed on the C2 project Rabbit), our Audi B6/B7 short-shifter, and our Mk4 R32 13-lb lightweight flywheel.
The brake kit shown is our 330mm version utilizing Alcon 4-piston calipers and 330mm x 32mm slotted 2-piece rotors. Also available soon will be a 355mm version that will include an optional 330mm rear big brake kit utilizing Alcon calipers, 2-piece rotors, and separate mechanical parking brake. Floating rotor assemblies will be optional on all front kits. Applications include the VW Mk4 and Mk5 chassis, as well as the Audi Mk1 and Mk2 TT and Audi B5, B6 and B7 series A4.
Our short-shift range will cover the same vehicles as listed for our Alcon BBK applications.
Along with our Mk4 R32 LWF, we also plan to produce clutch upgrades for that chassis, as well as clutches and LWFs for the Mk4 and Mk5 chassis. Audi version will follow shortly after.
Other products currently being worked on are:
- fifteen52 street/track VW Mk5 coil-overs that will offer track-ready spring and damping rates, remote reservoirs, and upper pillow ball mounts allowing for camber and caster adjustment
- fifteen52 line of exhaust systems
- fifteen52 camber adjustable lower control arms for VW Mk5 chassis
- Mk5 Rabbit, Jetta, GTI and GLI fender flare kits
We're very excited to finally put our name behind some truly high-quality products and we have some big plans for the future. This website will soon be revised to better reflect our new direction.

More fifteen52 coverage from our good friends at Performance VW magazine.
The August issue has a full feature on Adrian's 600+ hp R32, as well as a news update on our Rabbit fender flares.
Good timing for Adrian's feature as just this past Saturday he made a 10.71 quarter-mile pass @ 133-mph.

July 23, 2008 - Waterfest Report

Please accept our apologies for the lack of updates during the last few weeks. It's not that there hasn't been much going on around the shop, but rather the exact opposite. Getting our cars ready for a big event while also trying to keep pace with our customer workload is a daunting task. So again, please forgive us for slacking off on the site updates.
For the past 14 summers, the VW/Audi event known as Waterfest has placed itself as the main mark on all of our calendars. Held at Englishtown, NJ's massive Raceway Park motorsport facility, Waterfest is a behemoth of an event, even compared to the big Chevy and Ford events. We're talking tens of thousands of VW and Audi enthusiasts in attendance over a two day period, and any vendor worth its salts tries to make it there as well.
We brought up the Rabbit 2.5T in support of C2 Motorsport. C2 was kind enough to let us share booth space and we used the opportunity to debut our finished fender flare prototypes as well as our new Alcon-based big brake kits, R32 flywheel, and Audi short shifters. Shawn's Audi A4 made the trek as well and was the featured car in the Eurotuner magazine display area.
Friday morning we stopped along the way in VA to visit VWoA's new Herndon headquarters. The visit was the origin of Eurotuner's Kreuzerfest convoy from VA to Waterfest. The new facility is quite impressive and well over 100 cars showed up to take part in the caravan north. VW was kind enough to make several major concept cars available for gawking, with the main example being the twin-turbo W12 GTI concept. We'll post pics in a separate update.
As soon as we got to Raceway Park our Rabbit was requested out on the road course so that some action photos could be taken (part of an upcoming Eurotuner feature on the Rabbit). We've yet to properly set-up the car for track duty, but it did hold its own, with much of the credit going to the massive 265/35-18 tires that offered amazing grip. Our new Alcon 4-piston BBK also worked wonders by letting us brake deeper and deeper into each successive corner. Finally, even though the thermometer was hovering near the century mark (yes, we traveled 1500 miles north of FL summertime heat and humidity and wound up in even worse conditions), C2's turbo system performed flawlessly. A 1500-mile trip punctuated with 30 or so (literally) hot laps on a challenging circuit should erase any doubts as to this kit's reliability potential.
The event itself was well attended despite $4.00 gas and temps near 100 both Saturday and Sunday. We had some great reactions to the Rabbit fender flares and we look forward to putting them, along with the GTI version, in production ASAP. Our new product line was also well received.
The Rabbit will remain up north so that C2 can try out a few new tricks for getting even more power from the 2.5. As you might imagine, we can't wait to get the car back. Once it's here, we'll work on making molds for the flares and getting the car sorted for the Eurotuner GP, set to take place in Arizona this fall. Toward that end we'll be developing our line of clutches and suspension for the Mk5 chassis.

June 9, 2008 - Durtydubs Event Pt. 2

Here are the rest of the pictures we took from the Durtydubs event in Atlanta, GA:

If you've been following our build-up of the "Rabid Rabbit" you'll remember how we were up against a deadline for finishing up the fender flares. That deadline happened to be the annual Durtydubs event in Atlanta, GA.
We made the 7-hr drive and met up with C2 Motorsports upon arrival. Since we were both co-sponsors for the event and shared a booth, the Rabbit drew a great deal of attention for both companies. Parked right next to us was the immaculate Mk1 Rabbit 1.8T 4-door built and loved by Wayne Bynam and his son Jeff. For those of you who don't already know, the Bynums are legends in the VW project world, and this brown bunny shows why.
Turnout was great, despite the fact that the event was held at Dekalb Peachtree Airport and there happened to be an airshow going on concurrently with the car show. Though a bit difficult to get to the show area (crossing active runways and all), once inside the atmosphere was extremely friendly, laid-back, and hot - as in 100+ degree hot. Black tarmac makes for an easy and organized show field, but it radiates so much heat that any type of shade was not just nice, but necessary.
Durtydubs, despite the name, is open to other European vehicles as well and though we saw some incredibly well-sorted VWs, there was a good assortment of Audis, BMWs and even a few Mercedes.

Busy month we've got going as far as big projects are concerned:
- Finish Audi TT GT3076R big turbo upgrade
- VW Rabbit 2.5 C2 Stage 2 turbo kit install
- Audi TT GT2860RS big turbo upgrade
- VW 2.0TFSI GT3071R upgrade (with new rods)
- VW R32 Schrick cam and suspension install
And as of this past Saturday:
- Mk5 R32 PT74 turbo build with DSG upgrades
Kind of stressful, yes, but this is the sort of month we love, with every project an interesting one and sufficiently different enough from the other so as to keep Adrian entertained.
